This is the story of how in the 80s, a certain Okayomov - first the director of the ALTERNATIVA NPO, and then a monopolist in the production of electronic security systems - with the support of the old state apparatus, created a program for the upbringing and training of especially gifted children. His goal is to nurture professional hackers from a young age who are capable of taking the side of the law in the looming world of technological crimes. The peculiarity of education was to suppress the attempts of young geniuses to become interested in something else - other blocks in kindergarten, the wrong disciplines at school, the wrong girl from whom they could lose their brilliant head, and so on... The default of 1998 put an end to Okayomov's enterprise. His students ended up on the street. The main characters, two friends Tropa and Den - who were the core of Okayomov's experiment - are now cool hackers, noble, but still criminals. And only today do they learn that their childhood was a lie from beginning to end...
