Overview
Béďa is a boy elephant who hasn't grown much - he's actually only about the size of a puppy, so he barely reaches the ankles of normal elephants. In the world of elephants, size and strength are valued, but even if the other elephants literally look down on him, Béďa does not let himself be discouraged and together with his friend, the talkative daman Eda (the damans are relatives of elephants and Eda is the only boy in the kindergarten who is smaller than Bedříšek) boldly throws himself into the tasks that his father and life itself set before him.
