
Johnny de Graaf is living the Italian dream. He is playing for an Italian football club and lives with his family in a beautiful villa. But after a period of poor play and a conflict with the chairman, Johnny has been placed on the transfer list to be sold. Slowly Johnny becomes part of the shifty underworld of the sport, in which football players are merely merchandise. He is losing his control over his life and is forced to make choices which are non-related to his love for football. Everything what Johnny seems to be doing, is backfiring him. But is Johnny able to escape this criminal world of gambling?

After an injury, Johnny de Graaf is doing his best to return to the first team of FC Bologna. Gwen is picking up her brother Floris in Bangkok, who appears to have arrived with a double program.

Gwen is searching for her missing brother in Bangkok. Renate heads back to live with her sister in the Netherlands after all the problems. Johnny soon follows to return to his football club where his career begun.

Gwen is continuing her search for her younger brother, while she bumps into Floris his best friend Robin. Ton ends up in hospital, during Johnny's first match with Deventer FC. Johnny fights with Carlo during a training session.

Johnny receives his first fix and is being watched. Gwen researches the death of Warre Merterns and is being taught about gambling on football matches. Renate heads to her parents for financial support.
