The assassination loosely follows the story of the characters that viewers know from the series Expozitura. Ever since Dan Chládek and Tereza Hodačová broke up, Dan has become a loner. They are trying to draw attention to a number of suspicious cases that are related to President Václav Wolf or people around him. However, no one takes him seriously, not even Tereza, who gets a position in the personal protection of the president. After an attempt to assassinate the head of state, Tereza discovers that Dan may be involved. Therefore, he follows his trail and maps the cases he has solved in the past. Fragments of these criminal cases, told in retrospect, will then bring the key to understanding the current events and bring a surprising denouement.
