
Tyler Perry's The Haves and the Have Nots is a television drama from the prolific writer, director and producer Tyler Perry. The show follows the complicated dynamic between the rich and powerful Cryer family and the hired help who work in their opulent Savannah, Georgia, mansion. As Judge Jim Cryer comes home early to attend his surprise 50th birthday party, he discovers that his mistress, Candace, has befriended his daughter, Amanda, and is attending his family dinner. Jim is completely unsettled when he realizes that Candace will be staying with them for the weekend.
