Rock star Tommy Lee, of Motley Crüe fame, at last finds time for college after living the fast life for two decades. In his 40s, twice divorced and the single father of two boys, Lee could do the typical midlife crisis thing -- buying sports cars and dating young women. But he wants something different that money can't buy: academic redemption. It won't be class as usual when the student is Tommy Lee, as each of the six episodes finds him floundering in a new fish-out-of-water situation -- including quintessential collegiate challenges such as finding a roommate, trying out for the marching band and cramming for finals.
Tommy moves into his dorm and gets to know his roommate and then meets his attractive chemistry tutor.
When Tommy tries out for the UNL marching band, he learns that the straight-laced marching band is nothing like his own band.
With his first college exams looming, Tommy Lee hits the books; hours of practice improve Tommy Lee's drum-line routine, but he may not get a spot on the field.
When Tommy learns what it would take for him to join a fraternity, he decides to start his own, the House of LEE.
While studying for his finals, Tommy finds time to debate against those in favor of file sharing and help his fraternity with their first prank.
Tommy receives his final grades and throws an all-night party to celebrate his accomplishments.
