It tells the legendary story of Phoenix Girl, a brothel girl who used martial arts to recruit a bride and married Li Hongzhang's disciple Tuo Fang, but was murdered. Her daughter Rungeer went through family changes and Tan Sitong's death, and finally joined the revolution and participated in the Wuchang Uprising. Fan Bingbing interprets the roles of Phoenix Girl and Rungeer as mother and daughter with very different personalities in the play, and promotes the development of the plot through the intersection of fate with multiple male characters.
