Overview
Duan Aiyue (played by Ruby Lin) is a rich young lady who was born with a golden spoon in her mouth, while Yang Axi (played by Liu Tao)'s mother, Yang Yujiao, is just an ordinary poor peasant woman. A plague made these two girls with completely different personalities and identities meet, and their fates became entangled. When the plague was rampant, both Duan Aiyue and Yang Axi fell ill. When only one person could be saved, Duan Aiyue's father Duan Muhai (played by Fan Zhiqi) chose to save his daughter and gave up Yang Axi. When Yang Axi was dying, he was lucky enough to meet a boy named Liu Bern (played by Wang Ban). Liu Bern took Yang Axi to an ancient temple, and Yang Axi just saved his life. But just when Yang Axi gradually developed innocent feelings for Liu Boer, she learned that the latter was about to go abroad for further study. Ten years later, the grown-up Yang Axi returned to the sad place of Dali. At this time, her heart was filled with hatred for Duan Muhai, and she vowed to avenge her mother and herself.
