The Steiner ensemble impresses with its sharp, skilfully performed comedy, a good portion of charm and temperament and also knows how to convince in more serious scenes. In contrast to other Bavarian popular theaters, the Theaterstadl performances seem much more lively, “younger” and, in a positive way, more unconventional than the competition when it comes to the interpretation of the roles. This uniqueness may be the reason why the Stadl performances also appeal to young people, which is an exception in the Volksbühne genre.
