Overview
The family problems of the widower Mário. Her young daughter, Titina, talks to her late mother, Laura, who died a year ago. Titina's imaginary conversations with Laura and her dreams of her, half asleep, half awake, illustrate well the great void left by her mother's death in the girl's life. It is, therefore, natural that Titina does not look favorably on Mário's romance with Paula, whom he met in Europe, when he traveled, inconsolable after his wife's death.
