Overview
In 1930, as the Japanese army was preparing for the upcoming war of aggression against China, Japanese scientist Daoichi Sakamoto (played by Zhu Ruixiang) was developing biochemical weapons in Harbin. This secret was discovered by Leng Feng (played by Wang Lei), a captain and medical officer of the Harbin Independent Brigade. Leng Feng was worried about the spread of plague in Harbin and asked the brigade commander Zhang Dapao (played by Shi Zhaoqi). ) and the head of the local government, but Zhang Dapao and Mayor Qian Bingwen (played by Xu Cheng) concealed the epidemic for their own benefit and wanted to control the incident. Lengfeng had no choice but to join forces with the independent brigade guard captain Qi Tiao (played by Wang Zhigang) to investigate secretly, but he did not know that Qi Tiao was a member of the Communist Party lurking in the independent brigade.
