Overview
Marc, a sculptor in his thirties, can no longer pay the rent on the apartment which he uses as a workshop and which he has renovated. He receives a visit from a bailiff. The latter tells him that he will be expelled the next morning by the police commissioner. Marc, supported by his friend Victor and the housekeeper Madame Puch, is determined to resist, but he is looking for a way. It was then that a certain Julie Wells arrived, a young English student who had come to do her literature thesis in Paris. It was to her that the agency re-rented Marc's apartment.
