At first, blind Finja thinks it's just an imaginative come-on when she's approached by Sam and his deaf brother Jannik. They say they met in a dream.

Ruben persuades the German army pilot Romy to show them evidence of supernatural phenomena at Poppenberg. This is where the Pied Piper disappeared with the children in the Middle Ages.

After the stressful encounter with the comatose artist Bruno Mannheimer, the father of Jannik and Sam, the brothers rebuild his light and sound installation.

Finja's father Peter is attacked by a ghostly apparition, which he hides from his daughter. Meanwhile, Ruben and Romy find themselves in danger at Poppenberg.
