Overview
The play tells the story of Jiang Xueyuan, Niu Shengli, Dong Lianshan, Chu Changde, Guan Kui and other independent battalion soldiers who survived the War of Resistance Against Japan on the land of Zhaozhou in Northeast China. They fought bravely and tenaciously, and fought against large Japanese troops in enemy-occupied areas again and again in guerrilla warfare. They finally ushered in the dawn of victory in the Anti-Japanese War.
