Overview
The play tells the story of Ning Zhuo, the king of Beili who entered the Su family after being framed. He was treated as a fool and crippled and was humiliated by his mother-in-law Chen Hongmei and others. Huaijin took good care of him, and Yuan Zuozong came to persuade him to take revenge. Ning Zhuo sticks to his friendship in the difficult situation, repays his kindness while planning to return to the top, and the entanglement between family and power begins. Ning Zhuo, the Northern King of Heaven, made great achievements in battle, but was framed by Zhou Yan and sent to the Su family. He became a fool and a cripple in the eyes of everyone, and was treated harshly by his mother-in-law Chen Hongmei. Fortunately, Huai Jin never left her for three years and took good care of her. Zuozong of the Yuan Dynasty came to take Ning Zhuo back to Beijing for revenge. Ning Zhuo refused temporarily because he was grateful to Huai Jin, and chose to repay his kindness to the Su family first.
