Living in a zoo. How cool is that? Doesn't every child dream of that? For Daniël & Suzina Durvers this is reality. Together with their parents, sister Littel and their grandfather, they live in the middle of Durvers' Zoo. Father Durvers is the director of the zoo. Long ago, Grandpa Durvers built a tree house in a secret place in the zoo, which can only be reached via an almost invisible path. This tree house, DE LIONENKUIL, is now the domain of Daniël and Suzina. Here they play, make plans for adventures and Daniel draws his comic strips about Pelican Man, a superhero who can and does everything he dares not to do. This hero is always ready to provide Daniel with appropriate and inappropriate advice. For Daniël and Suzina, the zoo is a place where an adventure awaits behind every corner and in every enclosure. Where they can sleep with the monkeys, feed the lemurs or see the lions very, very close.
