The prominent Slovak playwright Jonáš Záborský named himself that way. He was a rebel in almost everything and everywhere. He was originally an evangelical priest and converted to Catholicism in 1842. He got into a dispute with Ľ. Struggle for the ideological orientation of the national movement. Slovak poet, novelist and dramatist Jonáš Záborský (1812 - 1876) is known primarily as the author of the works Najdúch, Battle of Rozhanovciech, Dva dni v Chujava, Frndolína, but also sad plays in which he focused on the negatives of Slovak, Hungarian and Slavic history, revealing in particular the ruthless and usurping struggle for power. Less well known is his contradictory life and personality, which is presented in a two-part video film, the filmed work of Karol Horák. The film adaptation was inspired by the play The Gospel According to Jonah. Directed by Martin Kákoš, the main character was played by Marián Geišberg.
