
Overview
In the 1930s, the iron hoof of Japanese imperialism trampled on the Central Plains. Far away in Qiaojiapu, Chaihe, in the northeast, tofu maker Qiao Richeng had three sons. The eldest son died in the war early in his life. The second son Qiao Li was promoted to company deputy in the Northeast Army and was about to return to the village to marry the beautiful girl Dou Xiaoman (played by Yishan). Unexpectedly, the second son also died in the war. The pain of losing his son made Qiao Tofu devastated, and he vowed to save the last single seedling of the Qiao family no matter what. However, the third son Qiao Qun (played by Zhang Tong) was born to like dancing with guns and sticks, and had already made up his mind to go to the battlefield to fight the Japanese.
