A group of brave celebrities take on TV's scariest challenge show in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.Over six weeks, the celebs will be coached to conquer their fears as they face a series of physically and mentally demanding training exercises and tasks designed to transform them from total beginners to those capable of scaling the heights. It will be an emotional journey as they must encourage each other and work as a team, while also overcoming their individual anxieties.At the end of training, the group face the challenge of a lifetime - the most nerve-wracking and vertigo-inducing high wire walk imaginable, as they cross a distance of 1,000ft, 300ft feet above London. All they must remember is the key advice: Don't Look Down!
Host and team leader Paddy McGuinness is joined by soap-star Beverley Callard, former footballer Anton Ferdinand, Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt, Love Island star Chris Hughes, French footballer David Ginola, adventurer Charley Boorman, TikTok star GK Barry, comedian Fats Timbo and Olympic champion Victoria Pendleton as they head to the Austrian Alps to learn to master the art of the highwire in aid of Stand Up To Cancer. The celebs ease into training with a backwards jump off of Europe's highest suspension bridge but as they take their first steps onto the wire, it's not just legs that are wobbling.
The celebrities head to the top of Penken Mountain in Austria, which is 5,500 feet above sea level, to work on their focus. At the edge of the cliff, Chris Hughes loses control of his fear and worries he can't complete the challenge.
