Overview
The rude and determined Gustavo Petruchio, on the verge of losing his lands due to debt, received a seemingly impossible mission: to tame the shrew Catarina, a temperamental girl who has an aversion to men and marriage. A feminist convinced of the rigid morals of São Paulo society in the 1920s, the girl does everything to scare away her suitors, who are many, as she is the daughter of a rich banker, Batista, who will pay a fortune to anyone who marries his daughter. However, it won't be easy for the macho Gustavo to double the indomitable Catarina, even after they discover themselves in love with each other.
