To impress Serena during an evening at the disco, Lele, a student of humble origins in an elite high school in Bologna, takes a pill. It is the beginning of his ordeal.

Lele attends a wealthy high school. To impress Serena, she starts using and selling drugs to earn money. One evening she gives a "pasta" to her friend Mirco who is found dead.

Distressed, Lele wants to confess but Pigi dissuades him. The torments begin: a policeman suspects him; he is threatened by drug dealers; his parents seem to have understood something.

Police and drug dealers are pressing, as are remorse: the mother of the dead boy turns to Lele to find out about her son. Meanwhile, the general tension between parents and children grows.

Tip alerts families to Saturday night drug use. The bomb explodes in the houses, particularly in Lele's who lives between a rock and a hard place: between police and criminals.

The masks and secrets of children and adults fall apart. For Serena's love, Lele faces her responsibilities by discovering a shocking truth. But the dangers are not over.

The different characters are forced to settle pending accounts with others and with themselves, facing painful but necessary transformations or continuing to escape.
