Fang Ming (Wu Qianlian) is the creative director of an advertising company. Everything was going smoothly. Unexpectedly, her boyfriend abandoned the marriage and ran away. Fang Ming pretended to be strong and went to Beijing to work, where he met Cheng Yang (Li Yapeng). Cheng Yang is a student on the sports team of the Institute of Physical Education and has a childhood sweetheart, Xing Jiani (Wang Ning). Jiani had a child with a Hong Kong man in order to go abroad. Afterwards, the man disappeared. After Jiani gave birth to the child, she went to the United States with another Chinese American. Cheng Yang took Jiani's child with him and named him Xiao Dan. He also took great care of Xing Jiani's sister Xing Jiahua (Gong Beibi). Jiahua is a student at the Academy of Fine Arts. Because of Fang Ming's relationship with Cheng Yang, he knows Fang Ming's younger brother Fang Zheng (Chen Hao). Fang Zheng is the comprador manager of a major department store in Beijing. He is a romantic and has sex every night, but Fang Zheng never imagined that he would fall in love with a yellow-haired girl like Jiahua. Fang Ming was fired because of a disagreement with his boss LAKE KU (Ye Guangjian), and his position was replaced by his assistant Wu Liting (Chen Haiheng). He was frustrated in career and love. Cheng Yang learned that Jiani had transferred from the United States to France and then to Hong Kong. He was determined to find Jiani in Hong Kong. He asked Fang Ming to do everything possible to find a job in Hong Kong and live in Fang Ming's house temporarily. Jiani did not hesitate to hurt Cheng Yang, but Fang Ming comforted and cared about Cheng Yang, and the two became sworn friends. In addition to a few main lines, the play also has other subplots that make the play more colorful, such as Cheng Yang's gymnastics coach Qi Zheng (Wang Xueqi), who pursued Cheng Yang's mother when he was young; Cheng Yang's brother Cheng Qiang (Chen Jianbin) and sister-in-law Ma Laifang (Li Qinqin), the couple run a small restaurant "Lai Lai Fang", and every guest who eats at "Lai Lai Fang" has a story of his own.
