Herman den Blijker and his team of three people compete every week against a different chef with three people. The chefs are only allowed to give instructions from the side with hand gestures, the participants have to do the hard work. And there has to be a Christmas dinner on the table anyway. The Kookklunzen is presented by Gordon who gives the participants a bag with ingredients and a menu. The dishes from the brigades of cooking klutzes are judged by a rotating five-member jury panel of celebrities who all have an affinity with cooking.
