
This is a story of a family's heir, carrying hope of family on the shoulders. His life has already been designed and there are rules to follow. He can't do what he wants and he can't love who he wants either. Tian and Yang are sons of Song Family, a member of Five Dragons Group. Tian is a son of Li, the first wife. And Yang is a son of Chan, a second wife. Tian was born first so he is appointed to be the heir of the family. Tian is a polite and gentle boy. He likes to study, paint and watch Chinese opera. On the other hand, Yang is a playful boy. The outsiders see Yang as good-for-nothing type of person. In fact, Yang has no interest to compete with his brother because Tian saved his life in the past. In return, Yang promises Tian that he will take his brother to see every Chinese opera that he wants to.There is a secret behind a perfect life of an heir. The only persons know about this secret are Li and Jia, a servant who see Tian wraps his head with a scarf and sings, pretending to be Chinese opera performers. Li can't take it so Tian is asked to stop this behavior and she has to cover up his secret.20 years has passed, Tian is working for his family business while Yang is still playing around. Yang still keeps his promise to take Tian to see Chinese operas constantly. One day, Tian meets Jiu, a fondant seller, that he likes.Li still has a hope that Tian will become a straight man. But Tian has no interest in women. People seem to be curious about this and Li needs to stop people's curiosity. She tries to find a fiancée for him and speed up the marriage. Yang knows the truth and he feels sorry for his brother. He helps his brother to delay the wedding date as much as possible. In the meantime, relationship of Tian and Jiu starts to grow strongly.No matter how hard Li tries to cover up Tian's secret, the head of Song Family eventually knows about this. He wants Tian to be the heir of the family and maintain family's name. He doesn't want his sons to suffer so he asks Tian to hand over everything to Yang. Tian feels such a big relief and he agrees on this. But Li disapproves this plan. Before the announcement, Li poisons the head of Song Family until he is paralyzed, and Tian continues to be the one and only heir. Chan knows about this so Li murders her and bury Chan's body under the ground.Tian can't escape from this loop. Will he eventually get out of this loop?

Tian's family balances a careful peace amongst each other as there are ever moving players looking for advantages in the businesses and politics of the family. Chan, the mother of Tian's half-brother Yang, seeks out any opportunity she can to eliminate Tian as the next in line to inherit his fathers leadership role in the family.

Tian and Yang's strong bond as brothers continued into adulthood when Yang made good on his promise to take Tian to Chinese operas. However, during wartime between Thailand and Japan, their late night outings became a dangerous event, drawing the ire of their father.

Dong attempts to extort Madam Li after he overhears a private conversation between Tian and his mother. Meanwhile, Li attempts to force Tian to marry Pin to secure his role as his father's successor.

Dong's body is found by Bua sending Chan into a frenzy accusing Li of murder.

Ma urges the police to investigate the death of Dong, but when the casket is opened the body is unrecognizable. Tian later notices Jiu meeting with Ma and urges Jiu to end his business with Ma.

Tian and Yang team up to expose Ma's cheating within the company. Madam Li rushes ahead with planning Tian's wedding to Pin; a wedding he has no intentions of seeing through.

Jiu is assigned to kill Song's eldest son, but he does not immediately realize that son is Tian. Dr. Qi makes a revelation about the mysterious mushrooms growing at the Song household.

Tian hires Jiu to work for him at the Song residence. Song brings Dr. Qi to the residence to look into Jia's suspicious apothecary.

Emotions are on the rise at the Song household as Madam Li remains under suspicion of murdering Dong with the beetle orchid, Yang is accused of trying to steal Pin from Tian, and Yang begins to suspect that Jiu cannot be trusted either.

Desperate for her son to like women and conceive a child, Madame Li and Jia concoct a new type of orchid that will cause feelings of arousal for Tian and Pin.

Madame Li's plan to turn her son straight fails miserably after the intervention of Yang and Jui. Song receives news that Jui is Ma's underling.

Song orders a search for his son Tian, believing him to be captured by Ma's underlings.

Tian returns to the Song household after he overhears a private conversation between Jiu and Ma.

Jiu mounts a rescue attempt to save his brother from Ma. Tian eventually consents to his mother's plan and agrees to marry Mud, one of the estate's employees.

Song and Madame Li plan to announce Tian's upcoming marriage at the meeting of the Five Dragons, but disaster strikes as those bidding for power come to a clash.

Li, Bua, and Chan must plan a way to rescue Song and Tian while Dr. Qi searches for a medicine for Jiu's sister.

The entire family and Jiu must work together to save the lives of Song and Tian who have been captured by Ma.
