
Ricky Stratton is the son of an eccentric multimillionaire who doesn't know his son exists. Ricky leaves military school to live with his father, a child at heart, and many formulaic scenarios ensue over the course of five seasons on NBC.

Pearl Bailey plays Edward's friend Lulu Baker, a retired restaurateur who's back in town to enjoy her golden years. But Rick (Ricky Schroder) would rather see her take over his favorite hamburger hangout.

However, when Kate sees how stressed out Rick is with regards to his grades, she talks to Edward about relaxing when it comes to taking his son's future so seriously.
Rick is determined to cook a special Mother's Day dinner for Evelyn.
