The documentary is devoted to the first major stage of Jiří Voskovec and Jan Werich's life together, from their meeting to the beginning of the 1930s. The next part of the cycle covers the 1930s up to the departure for emigration. However, the creators were definitely not only interested in the history of the Liberated Theater of their era. They dealt with the mutual relationship between the two men and their way of thinking, their attitude in key situations. And above all, the creation during the pre-Munich Republic. The gentlemen will tell us about themselves almost exclusively, without intermediaries. And that both through his own work - especially films, and quotes from interviews given by everyone at a different end of the world after the war. Jan Werich talked with his daughter Jana on the Czechoslovak Radio and Jiří Voskovec in America with the writer Michal Schönberg. The audio version of these interviews will be published for the first time. And of course the music of Jaroslav Ježek will be present all the time.
