
The Munsters is just your typical American family of Monsters. Herman works for an undertaker. Lily is a homemaker. Marilyn is the daughter of Lily's sister who lives with them and has problems keeping boyfriends once they see her parents. Eddie is just a typical schoolboy with werewolf tenancies. Grandpa is hundreds of years old and the Count from Transylvania. They deal with the normal problems of a family in unique ways.

The Parents of Marilyn's boyfriend are having a costume party and the Munsters are invited to the party so his parents can meet them. Grandpa throws a fit to get invited and tags along.

Grandpa creates a love potion for Marilyn because her boyfriends keep running away. When his attempt to give the potion to Marilyn backfires, Lily and Herman inavertently find themselves the unwilling targets of amorous advances made by their nosy neighbors.

Herman gets frustrated by the bills. He goes for a walk in the park to get his mind off the bills and people who see him report a monster in the park to the police. There is also a robber in the park. Grandpa works on another invention.

Grandpa plays with one of his electronic gadget and over hears Lily talking about a new playmate for Eddie. Her plans are to babysit Dr. Dudley's son while he is out of town. Herman and Grandpa then think she is going to have a baby and get all exited.

While putting a gas pipeline under the Munster's home, workers freak out when they see Herman. Their boss comes to the home to try and buy the rights to put the pipeline in.

Herman is invited to his old army squads reunion. However, he does not fit into his army uniform and has to go onto a diet. Lily sends him to Dr. Dudley for his diet plan.

Eddie builds a robot for his school science project and it malfunctions. People mistake Herman for the robot.

Herman's twin brother, a known con artist visits the Munster's to try and sell them a machine that convert's sea water into uranium.

Grandpa finds a matrimony agency add while reading the newspaper classifieds and decides he needs a wife.

Crooks steal the Munsters car, plan a bank robbery, then mistake Herman for Big Louie. The crook that was supposed to have been sent to be the driver for the robbery.

Grandpa invents a pill that turns water into gas and also gives Marlyn a sleeping pill. He then finds out that he used the wrong formula and instead of just a sleeping pill, he used the Sleeping Beauty formula instead.

The Munsters are chosen as the "Average American Family" by a national magazines computers. When Grandpa finds out, he wants no part of it and hides in the house after promising not to go anywhere. Herman and Lily take off to look for him. Marlyn gives the magazine writer and photographer a room while they are gone.

Grandpa thinks he is unappreciated at home so he leaves home and works at a local night club with a magic act. Herman and Lily search all over for him.

Lily finds out Herman has some money problems and she goes to work to help out in secret because she is afraid that Herman will feel bad if he knows she is working.

The Munsters go to the park to do some family camping. Grandpa gets home sick for the old country and turns himself into a wolf then forgets how to turn back.

Because of a error, Marlyn's college tuition for the last quarter is not paid and she is told she can not come back until the bill is taken care of. When Herman goes to the college to straighten things out, he is mistaken for Moose Mallory a basketball player the coaches have been expecting.

Eddies friends have new walkie talkie's and they start pretending to be Martians. Meanwhile, Herman is playing with his new ham radio set pestering people world wide and hears the kids pretending. He believes that they are really spacemen and the next day he drags Grandpa in on it.

Eddie gets upset because the other kids at school call him "Shorty" and refuses to go back to school.

Herman insults Igor on take a pet to school day for Eddie so Grandpa changes into a bat to go in his place. Eddie then trades his grandpa for a squirrel.

Marilyn is sick and Lily sends Herman down to the bank to take out their tax refund money. Grandpa goes with him and they are mistaken for 2 bank robbers who have been going around robbing banks in Halloween costumes.

Two gangsters pretend to be movie producers and con Herman into believing he is a movie star in an attempt to swindle a insurance company with his death.

Herman takes Eddie down to the park for some baseball and he hits a mighty drive out of the park. He is then given a tryout by Leo Durocher.

The Munster family wins a free family membership to a local country club. Lily and Grandpa immediately do not like it but Herman and Eddie do and spend a father and son bonding afternoon out on the clubs golf course.

After Herman takes one sleeping pill, he accidentally falls asleep inside of an Egyptian sarcophagus.

Lily gets a job to make extra money and Herman becomes jealous, so Grandpa uses magic to turn himself into a woman and goes with Herman so Herman can make her jealous getting her to quit her job.

Eddie volunteers Herman to preform in his schools talent show and Grandpa uses magic on a pair of slippers so Herman can be good at the Old Soft Shoe. When things don't go quite right with the enchanted slippers, Herman has to change his act to a Magician's act.

Herman buys some vacation land without telling the rest of the family. He buys it from 2 con artists, however the Munsters love the Ghost Town and won't sell when the con men try to buy the land back to make more money from a potential investor in the complete parcel of land.

Eddie boasts to his school buddy that his dad is a better racer. Herman then takes the bet and looses the family car. In order to redeem himself, Grandpa helps him come up with a dragster.

Lilly practically forces Herman to go into work and demand a raise from MR. Gateman. Herman is promptly fired and is afraid to tell Lily that he lost his job. He tries several jobs but nothing seems to work out for him. It is one disaster after another.
