"Taipei Family" (English: Taipei Family) is a 2005 Taiwanese TV series that has been aired until its fourth season. The director is Wang Weizhong, and the screenwriters are Xie Xiaomi, Fei Gongyi, and Xie Nianzu. It uses a group of people living in a "happy community" to explore various social phenomena in Taiwan, and uses black humor to present the fun of the plot. In 2005, he was shortlisted for the TV Golden Bell Award for Drama Series Screenwriting Award (Xie Xiaomi, Fei Gongyi) at the 40th Golden Bell Awards. The first and second seasons premiered on public television, while the third season "Happiness Suite" and the fourth season "Everyone Fights for Happiness" premiered on Sanli Metropolis Channel. Each theme in the first and second seasons is usually limited to half an hour, so there will be two themes in one episode; when the third and fourth seasons are broadcast on Sanli Metropolis Channel, each theme is limited to one hour. Sanli Metropolis Channel aired the first and second seasons before airing the third season. However, due to the insertion of commercial breaks, the show was re-edited during the broadcast. After the third season was aired on Sanli Metropolis Channel, Public Television has selected 20 episodes to be broadcast.
