Overview
Shuangpailou Hutong, with its decades-long history, has witnessed generations of people’s daily necessities, life, old age, illness and death. Time seems to have frozen here, sticky and slow. On this day, the news of house renovation was like a bomb that shattered the tranquility of Shuangpailou Hutong. People cheered and rushed to tell each other, fully expecting the arrival of a new life. Xia Yan (played by Li Nian), a young and beautiful white-collar worker, is a member of Courtyard No. 15 in Shuangpailou Hutong.
