
A man and his uncle are offered to find a bowl relic in the West Sea, and they jump into a treasure hunt to escape from their lives of selling fakes. As more and more people search for the treasure, their obsessions become mad and they are forced to make choices between desire and humanity.

Gwan-seok, skilled at finding money, joins Hee-dong to pursue rumours of a sunken treasure. The two set off in pursuit of a potential fortune.

Gwan-seok and Hee-dong reach Mok-po, facing a rough welcome from Captain Hwang and Beol-gu's gang before they search for the shipwreck's exact location.

The location is still unknown when a rival shows, adding to the race. Chairman Cheon wavers, forcing Gwan-seok to scheme to get him back on board.

Gwan-seok and Hee-dong partner with Professor Kim's crew and set sail. Meanwhile, Chairman Cheon bribes an assemblyman with pottery for favours.

Jung-sook and Deok-san reach Mok-po; she assesses pottery, he seeks Professor Kim. Convinced of the pottery's value, the team makes their first dive.

The team hires more divers, making their first real haul. Gwanseok takes a secret job; Jungsook auctions shipwreck treasure at a U.S. military base.

Chairman Cheon makes a big error and Jungsook jumps to control the company. At the salvage site, an accident occurs and it is Heedong's turn to dive.

The ship rises from the deep, pottery in tow in front of Heedong. Men seize Professor Kim; Heedong, eyeing profit, dreams of a grand public salvage.

Under a false government banner, the salvage begins. As Honggi probes the diver's accident, danger near. He gives Heedong key information to survives.

Professor Kim flees to Busan with the loot, with Honggi in pursuit. In Seoul, Gwanseok takes on a task. Heedong and Seonja reach warehouse in Muan.

Sensing trouble, Gwanseok rushes to Muan. After Professor Kim's boat sinks, Gwanseok, Heedong, Jungsook and others fight over the remaining treasure.
