The twenty-one-part TV series "Thirteen Murder Cases" is based on thirteen real murder cases that occurred in recent years. It has been adapted and created. The main plots and characters are all real. The film crew recorded more than thirty hours of television interviews with the perpetrators of these thirteen murders, and included these interviews as a part in the play, organically combining them with the storyline to form a complete film. They all said they definitely didn’t want to kill someone, but then admitted that they did kill someone later. What was the process like? What factors caused the tragedy? They are definitely not people who intentionally do evil. What brought them to this point is the common human weakness of mankind. Selfishness, jealousy, ignorance, narrow-mindedness, ignorance... ruined their originally peaceful and happy life. The people they killed died painfully, and they were still alive, but without happiness. We may have faced difficulties, been hurt, and resisted resulting from it. The desire to maintain dignity is the same as these murderers, or even stronger. But the difference is that they all went about it the wrong way. In an attempt to get out of that predicament, he unexpectedly put himself in an irreversible situation, deprived himself of the life of the person who caused him the predicament, and became a murderer. So they become the people in the story.
