Overview
In a town in Liaodong in the early days of liberation, Shan Xing, a daughter of a grain connoisseur, fell in love with Ding Daming, a long-term worker, but they were never able to be together due to the gap in status. The Kuomintang garrison was ordered to station a military secret in a small town. The guerrillas led by the Communist Party were ordered to understand and destroy this military secret. Ding Daming joined the revolutionary ranks because he helped the guerrillas, and stayed at the Guan family to secretly assist the guerrillas in completing their mission. However, in helping the guerrillas to capture penicillin and rice grain, ding Ming died heroically and then came back from the dead. This made Shan Xing, who had been kept in the dark, aware of his identity and followed him to join the revolutionary ranks. Despite this, the two lovers did not choose to be together, but pretended to marry someone else in order to complete their respective tasks, and jointly revealed the secret that the garrison was stationed in a Japanese military depot. However, in order to destroy the military depot, Ding Daming died heroically in the final battle. In full view of the public, when everyone thought that he could not still be alive, Ding Daming limped into the sun on crutches. .
