Ichirō Ōtsu

Biography

Ichiro Otsu is a Japanese scenario writer. Born in Fukuoka Prefecture. After attending Fukuoka Prefectural Shuyukan High School and graduating from the Faculty of Letters at Doshisha University, he worked at Toei Kyoto Studio and became a freelance scenario writer. He has written scripts for the films ``Hiroshima Jingi Hostage Retrieval Operation'', ``The Legend of Dinosaurs and Mysterious Birds'', ``Ninja Bugeicho Momochi Sandayu'', ``1750 Days of Turbulence'', ``Zankyo'', ``Himawari'', V Cinema ``The Third Yakuza'', TV ``The Yagyu Clan's Conspiracy'', ``Shadow Army'', and ``Hisatsu Jobinto''. Director of the Scenario Writers Association, visiting professor at the Department of Film and Visual Arts, Osaka University of Arts, and lecturer at Osaka Scenario School. At the Sanuki Film Festival in 2011 and 2012, he also served as a lecturer at the Eizo Juku Scenario Course.
