Overview
The main character is retired lieutenant colonel Yuri Zhukovsky, who lives a lonely bachelor life. Suddenly, her monotony collapses when Zhukovsky meets with his former boss, General Terentyev. It is he who sends the former special forces commander on a trip to the military unit of the regional city of Zarechensk. There he will have to establish the causes of the tragedy - the escape and death of an ordinary soldier. The former colonel goes against the opinion of the command and the commission, starting his own investigation against the criminal business. Zhukovsky finds out the true motives of the soldier's escape with the help of his fiancee, having discovered a hidden phone.
