Overview
University professor Lin Yuanyang, the adoptive father of Zhang Wen, a police officer from the Criminal Investigation Brigade of the Yanshi City Public Security Bureau, was found dead at home. Zhang Wen sadly left the Municipal Public Security Bureau, trying to resolve his tremendous grief through self-exile. A year later, Zhang Wen was invited back to the Criminal Investigation Brigade by Su Nanshan, deputy director of the Public Security Bureau, in order to help newly arrived police officer Li Ziming quickly solve a bizarre "intentional homicide case in a fish shop." To Zhang Wen and everyone's surprise, the suspect involved in this case, Wang Dalong, was Lin Yuanyang's former student. Just when Li Ziming led his team to arrest Wang Dalong, Wang Dalong was found dead mysteriously. As the investigation progresses, various clues emerge, and the murderer seems to deliberately want to induce Zhang Wen and others into a long-awaited puzzle. The past and present are connected together, and the real murderer behind it is about to come out. Everyone is gradually getting closer to the truth, but they don't know that a bigger crisis is coming quietly.
