Overview
Factory worker Kálmán Szitár learns from his doctor that he is seriously ill. His son, Péter, comes home from a study trip abroad to take over the management of the plant. The workers ask him to fire one of the rude foremen, whom the janitor's daughter, Vera, confronted. Instead, Péter gives the porter's way. But later his sense of justice and the porter's daughter change Peter's opinion...
