Danilo is a grinder and is fascinated by the idea of creating a perfect piece of malachite jewelry or product that would be closer to nature. He longs for a stone flower, which for him is the pinnacle of perfection. Káťa excuses his obsession to him in vain. One day, while wandering through nature, the Lady of the Copper Mountains appears to Danilo, who brings him to her kingdom. Excited by the fact that he discovered the stone flower of his dreams right here, he allows himself to be lured into service by a fairy.
