Film na motivy osudů dobrého redaktora Haška. He first works as an editor for the magazine "World of Animals", then with his wife he founds the "Cynology Institute", which is the source of fantastic and satirical ideas for the future humorist... The story begins at the beginning of the last century in Prague-Košíří in the villa Nad Klamovkou. Young Jaroslav (O. Kaiser) complies with the wish of his future wife Jarmila (V. Freimanová) to secure a permanent job, and applies to the editor-in-chief (P. Nárožný) for the position of editor in the magazine Svět zvítěr. Thanks to his promptness and eloquence, he gets the job and at the same time becomes the director of the kennel. The character of the magazine provokes Hašek's imagination, he runs wild with ideas and comes in as a funny mystifier, the boss does not show understanding for his ideas... Jaroslav wants to apply his experience and starts his own business. Finanční prostředky mu poskytne tchán. However, the cynological institute does not prosper and Hašek gets into debt. In the end, the entire company is liquidated and Hašek has to deal with the situation by allegedly losing his senses
