In January 2020, faced with the first cases of Covid-19, the Canibal Filmes team got together and quickly filmed the script for A Louca Origem do Covid-19, a low-budget feature film that tells the story of a group of bandits arriving in a village filled with people infected by a strange virus, which would turn out to be the embryonic Covid-19 virus in a fantastic twist! The production was filmed with VHS cameras and edited on an analogue editing station, to give it the incredibly charming flavor of Shot On Video productions from 20 years ago.
