Overview
In the small county occupied by the Japanese army, Du Xinghan, the principal of Xinghan Middle School, continued to preside over school affairs. His daughter Du Xiangling and teacher Li Yueting were his right-hand assistants. They believed that education was the lifeblood of the country, and therefore resisted the Japanese invaders' various plots to destroy the Chinese nation by annihilating culture. Du Xiangling's fiancé Zhu Youbin suddenly returned to the county seat. He was originally a patriotic young man with excellent morals and academics. His father Zhu Ankuiyan was an enemy and served as the pseudo county magistrate. Zhu Youbin also associates with Japanese people. Du Xiangling despised them, resolutely gave up the personal relationship between his children, and became a fellow traveler with his friends. The anti-Japanese elements in the county were very active and one day they blew up the Japanese arsenal. Yueting was arrested as a suspect...
