Moon Do-yeop, an intelligent vagabond who thinks he has failed in life, takes some money out of his hometown and runs away to Seoul with his follower, Jeong Dong-ho. They are chased by Do-yeop's half-brother and while running away through a mountain range covered in heavy snow, they meet Yu Eun-ji, a woman filled with warm love, and from then on, the three become fateful companions. Before Dong-ho reaches Seoul, he betrays Do-yeop and Eun-ji and runs away, and they each live in wandering and grief. Do-yeop meets the pristine woman Eun-ji again and they fall in love, while Dong-ho goes through the world like a knife. However, thanks to Eun-ji, the three of them come together again and work hard to plant grass in the city and find a blooming life. However, they are doomed to sin again and have to escape the city.
