Overview
During the Northern Expedition, Chen Yiyi held a wedding with veteran Zhang Zhengke. The local tycoon Liu San tried to molest Chen Yiyi but was scolded by Zhang Zhengke. Liu San therefore held a grudge and insulted Zhang Zhengke as a rebel. Zhang Zhengke took his wife and fled to his uncle's house in the countryside. Soon Zhang Zhengke joined the Northern Expedition while Yiyi stayed in the countryside. The squire Mr. Zhou was frivolous and Yiyi was scolded by her. Soon due to the war, Mr. Zhou, Yiyi and others fled on the same boat. Unexpectedly, their boat was stopped by Liu San's men. Liu San ordered that everyone else who left Yiyi would be executed. In order to save everyone, Yiyi pretended to mess with Liu San and stabbed him to death while he was drunk. Unfortunately, she was also seriously injured. In the end, Zhang Zhengke saw his wife for the last time during the battle.
