Overview
Because of his affection for alcohol, the tax officer Datterich was dismissed from his service. Now he spends his days in the inn playing cards and looking for people who will lend him money or at least invite him to drink. He identifies the apprentice turner Schmidt as such and promises to bring him together with his base.
