Overview
Mehmet Pehlivan, his wife Koca Nene, and their granddaughter Narhanım, one of the remaining residents of a flooded Anatolian village, were spared from the flood because their houses were on the slope. Her granddaughter Narhanım's mother and father somehow died, and Narhanım, who was orphaned, lives with her grandfather and grandmother. In their quiet life by the river, there is no movement except for Narhanım going to school by boat and Osman, the field watchman, coming from time to time. One day, the life of this small family takes an irreversible path when a thief who escaped from the refugee camp breaks into their house.
