An animated film telling the story of the exploits of Robin Hood, the beloved hero of English folk ballads - a noble and fearless defender of the poor. The Sheriff of Nottingham promises a thousand gold coins as a reward to anyone who brings him the head of Robin Hood. But the money is received... by Robin himself, who immediately distributes it to the poor. King Richard the Lionheart sends knight Guy to capture Robin Hood, but he, with the help of his friends - free shooters, cleverly deceives the knight and, taking his armor and horse, he himself, disguised as a knight, goes to Nottingham to save from death the prisoners imprisoned in a dungeon by order of the sheriff...
