Overview
The story that the film tells begins on New Year's Eve, but it is not a festive event at all. The main character of the film, Lena, and her husband Sergei are getting divorced. Mental devastation pushes Lena to a desperate act: she goes to Kamensk to return her first love - Kostya. On the train, Lena meets a random fellow traveler, Maxim. After spending the journey in easy and pleasant conversations, they part at the station, not thinking that they will ever have to see each other again. However, having met Kostya, Lena begins to doubt the correctness of her intentions. And chance again brings her into contact with Maxim. Together they find themselves in a whole whirlpool of events - all these vicissitudes bring the heroes closer together. Perhaps a chance meeting on a train will turn out to be a New Year's gift of fate for both.
