Overview
Antonio Meucci, who emigrated to South America with his wife, while waiting for his telephone research to materialize, works as a stagehand in a theater. During a scenographic installation, a distraction by Meucci causes a fire, which convinces him to move to North America, where he begins the candle-making business, but a sudden illness of his wife forces him to sell everything. In the meantime, an important American company understands the importance of his research on the telephone and takes possession of the patent. Meucci sues in court and manages to demonstrate the true paternity of the invention.
