Čapek is said to have coined the word ``robot'' from the Czech word ``robota,'' which means ``labor.'' In this performance, based on a translated play by Akane Kurisu, Seiji Nozoe, who has a reputation for his unique style of depicting a fantastical worldview, transformed the drama into a cynical and absurd drama aimed at people living in 2024, when robots and humans are beginning to coexist, and performed as a modern story.
