Overview
Virginia, an aspiring actress, and Francesco, the son of an industrialist she met on the set of a film, are involved in a kidnapping. Francesco's family pays the ransom for the young man, despite the contrary opinion of the Carabinieri, so the young man is freed, while the girl remains in the hands of the kidnappers, who sell her to another gang. Meanwhile, Virginia's film is successful and she becomes famous. Virginia manages to contact the police and is thus freed, but one of the kidnappers accuses her of being an accomplice to Francesco's kidnapping, but Francesco believes the young woman and, with the help of the family lawyer, manages to exonerate her and discover that his ex-girlfriend fabricated the false accusations to get rid of Virginia, his rival in love.
