Overview
Panya lived in the village all her life. The husband died, there were no children. The only relative is his nephew: he lives in the city with his family and persuades Panya to move in with them. All in order to sell Pani’s house and buy a car with the proceeds. Panya was tired of fighting back and jokingly blurted out: “I can’t move, I’m getting married.” Now Pan needs to find a real groom, otherwise his nephew will not lag behind. There are no suitable men in the area. Panya's friend, neighbor Lizka, matches Panya to a summer resident-artist who recently moved to the village. Panya decided to offer him a marriage of convenience - two bags of potatoes if he marries. And Lizka herself has a daughter of marriageable age, Tatyana. She looks past the village suitors - she’s waiting for the oligarch in a white Mercedes. And the whole village is wondering whether Lizka will be able to marry off both Panya and Tanya?
